The originals of this trio will be sold as a set only. Of course, giclees of individual images are always available.
This work is an obvious deviation from previous material and was quite a surprise (albeit pleasant) to me.
The pieces were painted in the order they are numbered, however, the correct sequence in terms of content would be #3, #2 then #1. When I studied #1two images came to mind. A fertilized egg with a partially formed fetus and a cosmic body much like our sun. Hence the titles. I wanted to develop the fetus idea further and, as I did, the stages of development of the egg came to be in reverse. The mysterious spark of life, the mechanical multiplication by division of cells, and the wondrous result.
Are we looking inward to a micro world or outward to the macro universe. Why not both and is there a difference?
