ALOJAMIENTO EN HUNGRÍA

Si bien el precio del alojamiento ha subido de un modo espectacular en los últimos años, la oferta es variada. Los establecimientos de categoría suelen dar los precios en marcos alemanes, mientras que las habitaciones particulares y los albergues cobran en moneda local. Los más baratos suelen llenarse en la temporada alta (jun.-sept.), así que los que vayan a lugares donde el alojamiento es limitado harán bien en hacer la reserva con antelación.

Una opción más barata son los albergues, que tienen varios nombres. En las ciudades de provincias se llaman Túristaszálló, pero en las tierras altas reciben el nombre de Túristaház. Las oficinas de turismo locales pueden informar y hacer las reservas. También disponen de información sobre las residencias de estudiantes, que suelen estar todavía mejor de precio. Alquilan habitaciones en julio y agosto, pero a menudo también los fines de semana a lo largo de todo el año.

En toda Hungría, los bungalós y los cámpings suelen estar juntos en un mismo complejo. Los bungalós (faház) proliferan en los centros turísticos y en los mayores cámpings; los precios dependen de los servicios de que dispongan y de su tamaño. Los bungalós de primera clase con cocinas bien equipadas, agua caliente y un salón o terraza- son excelentes, y cuestan unos miles de forintes, mientras que los más sencillos disponen por lo menos de ropa de cama limpia y no tienen goteras. Los cámpings que en los carteles suelen anunciarse como Kemping- también oscilan desde los «de lujo» hasta los de tercera clase. Los más sofisticados incluyen un restaurante y tiendas, y suelen estar masificados; en los de segunda y tercera clase hay un ambiente más distendido. En la temporada alta, los precios no suelen bajar de los 1.500 forintes (y son más caros en la zona alrededor del lago Balatón).

Una manera más barata de alojarse cerca del centro de una ciudad es en habitaciones particulares (fizeto” vendégszoba), y además suelen ser muy atractivas. Este tipo de alojamiento puede conseguirse a través de las oficinas de turismo locales por un precio reducido; también se puede tratar directamente con el propietario (que las anuncia con carteles que rezan szoba kiadó o Zimmer Frei). El precio de las habitaciones dobles oscila entre los 1.500 forintes en las ciudades de provincias hasta los 4.500 forintes en Budapest o en los alrededores de Balatón; las individuales suelen costar igual que las dobles, si bien a veces hacen un pequeño descuento. Las habitaciones en el Belváros (sector interno) de una ciudad tienden a ser mucho mejores que las de las afueras.

En algunas ciudades y balnearios, se pueden alquilar casas enteras, mientras que las oficinas regionales de turismo pueden conseguir alojamiento en las casas a través de la Falusi turizmus (red de turismo rural), cuya oficina central se halla en Budapest, en VII, Dohány utca 86 (Tlfn. 1/321-4396).

Las habitaciones particulares del centro sólo cuestan 3.000-4.000 forintes por noche. Conviene disponer de un ejemplar del Atlas de Budapest para comprobar la ubicación de los posibles emplazamientos: los distritos más aconsejables son los V, VI y VII de Pest, así como las zonas de Buda más cercanas a la colina del castillo. Los apartamentos, cuyo alquiler cuesta 7.000 forintes por noche, son ideales para grupos. No hay tantos como habitaciones, pero las oficinas de turismo siempre tienen alguno en sus listas.

ELTE Peregrinus Vendégház, V Szerb utca 3 (Tlfn. 1/266-4911). Situado en una calle tranquila en el centro de Pest, es un lugar elegante y agradable, cercano a la universidad; 25 habitaciones.

Jager-Trio Panzió, XI, Ördögorom üt 20 (Tlfn. 1/246-4558). Pequeña pensión en las lindes de la ciudad, en las colinas de Buda, cerca del final de la ruta del autobús 8. Abierto todo el año.

Medosz, VI, Jókai tér 6 (Tlfn. 1/374-3000). Edificio feo, pero cómodo y bien situado, cerca de Octogon.

Victoria, I, Bem rakpart 11 (Tlfn. 1/201-8644). Hotel moderno, con excelentes vistas al río.

San Marcó Panzió, III, San Marcó utca 6 (Tlfn. 1/188-9997). Pensión pequeña y agradable, en el norte de Buda.
