Camping

we go camping every year. Sometimes we go to Big Sur, which is a beautiful place covered with tall, thick pine trees.  It's along high way 1, five minutes away from the ocean. It takes about three and a half hours to get there from Oakland. We also camp at lake Camanche which sits in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevada and is located in the heart of California's historic gold country. The reservoir covers 12 square miles, is 150 feet deep, with 53 miles of shoreline when full. The Camanche recreation area is open year-round, providing a variety of recreational activities. I hope to see all of you there... you don't need a reservation; first come first serve.
