James points out her mistake. Nina considers James to be rude and

Nina and James watch Saving
Private Ryan together. Later that night, Nina calls James and says she
can't sleep, "Every time I close my eyes, I see dead people!".

at tea in the Conrad with friends. Later tells his brother to 'Go for

Nina invites James to a BBQ on
her rooftop with friends. James is a reluctant hero when he is the only
guy able to start the BBQ. James amazes Nina with his ability to eat. Nina
impresses James when she introduces her "sister" Monica
to him. Poor Monica is
terrified of James. |

James spends 3 hours asking
Nina out. With James blabbering away on the Peak, Nina switches off and
when the crucial moment comes, She says "What?", and James is
forced to repeat himself all over again. Thankfully her response this time
is more positive! |

Nina and James spend the
evening talking on Repulse Bay beach. The seeds of love are sown... |
| Oct 2nd 1998 |
Nina is in Cebu with her friend
on holiday. She moves hotels without telling James and he stays up all
night worrying. As a payback, he goes to play golf with his dad in China
the day she comes back. Things are mended at the Hard Rock Cafe on the
Sunday. |

Nina introduces James to her
siblings at the Beas River resort. Over tennis and a BBQ dinner, James
slowly winds his way into Nina's brothers and sister's good books. |

family home in Canada. Nina complains about lack of snow. We are then
snowed in for 3 days. Everyone in Canada loves Nina. |
