| Tony Kanal was born on Auguest 27, 1970. He was born in Kingsbury, a suburb of London, England. At age 11 he and his family immagrated to the Orange County region of South California. Tony grew up listening to a variety of music, his biggest influence was Prince. In 1985 Tony was able to catch his favorite artist on his Purple Rain Tour. Tony also got into the Red Hot Chili Peppers. When he was in High School, he cut class to he could see them play live. |
