VICKI: You should move into my house in Malibu and bank the money.
HUNTER: No, I don't think I could take advantage of a successful, professional woman such as yourself, but, we could fix that. (Pulls out an engagement ring) You could marry me.
After Vicki's mueder case is solved, Hunter is going through his mail and spots a card with her return address on it. He walks out onto his balcony to read it. As he does, we hear Vicki's voice.
VICKI: My darling Lieutennant Hunter: Although it's awfly formal of me to write you a thank-you note, it's something I was always nagged to do by my mother, may she rest in peace. The ring is so beautiful, but not nearly as beautiful as you. It symbolizes the love you've brought to me and will always be a constant reminder of the place you hold in my heart. Together, we will have the family we always talked about. Again, I say "yes" to your proposal. My love forever, Vicki
HUNTER: Get her to a sketch artist and have a full report on my desk by 5:00. 5:05, I'm out of there.
HARRY McBRIDE: Uh sir? That's some rough life up there in high command.
HUNTER: It's one of the many perks of being a Lieutennant.
HUNTER: Don't let those people keep you from being a police officer, Harry. From doing your job.
Pointing a gun at his fiance's murderer.
HUNTER: Do you know how hard it is for me not to kill you?
HUNTER: Hey Jack? When I do get my hands on you, there's not gonna be any justice for the rights of criminals.
