MARRIED WITH CHILDREN:
In an episode where Al Bundy hears
one of his favorite old songs on the radio and is trying to remember the name of
it, Peg starts teasing him. He turns around and says "Now listen, Peg. This is a
burning question in my mind and I will not be distracted by a woman who thinks
the television show 'HUNTER' is engrossing"!
FAMILY TIES:
In an emotional 3-part episode entitled
"Heartstrings", Steven Keaton has a massive heart attack and needs a quadruple
bypass. In the scene before he has the heart attack, the entire family is in the
kitchen and he starts to complain of chest pains. Andrew, the youngest son, says
"Think of Micky Mouse". Steven says "No, that didn't help". Andrew comes back
with "Works for me".
THE SIMPSONS:
Homer is torn between spending an extra
$100.00 on either a new air cinditioner or a new saxaphone for Lisa. When he
stands in front of the display window of the music store, he says "Oh God, what
should I do"? The salesman then places a sign in the window saying something to
the effect of what a good thing it would be to buy an instrument for a young
child. Homer reads it, says "Ah, it works for me.", and walks into the store to
buy the sax.
NIGHT COURT:
The always comical Judge Stone is presiding a
case where a group of nuns are suing a priest. They claimed the priest stole a
portable color TV they had packed to take with them on a road trip. When Judge
Stone asks the priest why he took the TV, he replies with "They insist on
watching Hunter"! Then, the one nun interjects with "We just like Fred Dryer. He
makes Charlton Heston look like a wuss"!
ARCHIE BUNKER'S PLACE:
Stephanie brings her calculator to
the restaurant for Archie to use until his is repaired. Archie looks at it and
says "You want me to use a Mickey Mouse calculator"? Stephanie comes back with
"Works for me"!
