I guess this guy isn't really one of The Four, and he is technically part of the Ryodan, but he does tend to show up an awful lot. This is the scariest character of the whole series, and not just because of his clothing styles and dyed hair. (And it is dyed.) This guy is either genuinely crazy or the best actor I've ever seen in a manga, seriously.
Gender = male. No matter what weird things Togashi may do to him(or dress him in), he is male. Grrrr.
Age = Not below 18. Could be as old as 30.... but most likely, he's in his early 20's.
Physical appearance = Well, in the manga his hair is always light... but in the anime it changes colors. 0.0;;; First it's a light green blue, then it randomly changes to reddish brown. I think his eye color changes too, I'm not sure. In any case, he is thin but strong, and not overly feminine but not purely masculine either. He is rather weird...
Personal characteristics = VERY sneaky, undercover, and mysterious. And he manages to achieve this while dressing in the most outlandish clothes available and fighting with whoever catches his fancy. Needless to say, he loves to fight too... or does he just love death? He's shifty and you can't trust him or turn your back to him. Not that you'd hope to ever have to trust him. Interesting character.
Clothing = Oh boy....... Okay, he changes clothing a lot but the first outfit he wears is essentially a clown outfit, with card symbols on the front. That was bad enough, but in book 6-7, he wore a similar costume with.... high heels. Not feminine high heels, mind you. But still: HIGH HEELS!! His clothes are almost as bad as Clapika's!
Nen = Hisoka is Henge type, and about the farthest reach you can go along that path. He is shifty and lying, and can't be trusted. It's kind of scary to think that Killua is the same type as him... I don't even want to think of Killua dressing up in clown clothes and all that junk. I'd laugh myself to death.
Weapons = Hisoka's visual weapons are ordinary playing cards that are as sharp as knives. They are made this way by the use of Nen... I think. That's not clear. His other weapons are Nen. Family = None known. I hope none of the good guys. Nen(2) = Hisoka has two particular techniques: Dokkiri Texture (if anyone knows what the 'dokkiri' romaji actually MEANS please e-mail me) and Bungee Gum. These of course are the cheesy English names for them, and the kanji next to them have different meanings that I can't read. Bungee Gum is pretty much like it's name, a gum made out of Nen that attaches to things and can't be unattached until you totally beat Hisoka. Essentially impossible, when it's attached to you and he can do whatever he wants with you when it is. Dokkiri Texture is a technique that allows Hisoka to transform a handkerchief into any texture he wants to, and to put it over whatever a handkerchief can be put over. Mostly this is just a trick effect, but it can be used in battle. (See volume 6..)
Quest = Nobody knows exactly what Hisoka wants, nor could they probably get a straight answer out of him if they tried. He doesn't speak about his past to anyone, not even the Ryodan, and he seems to want to destroy the Ryodan even though they're the type of people that would suit him. Perhaps he wants to merely because there isn't any other challenge out there for him. He seems to like Gon, nothing gross though, just admiring his stubbornness and perhaps seeing a way to use this to his advantage....
My Opinion = SCARY SCARY SCARY!! This guy gives me the creeps when he appears on the anime, and is interesting when he appears in the manga. I am of the opinion that he has some tragedy in his past somewhere and so that's why he hates the Ryodan... but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't just doing all this for the heck of it. If so, Clapika ought to beat the heck out of him. GRRRRRR.
