I have lived in New York since 1968. I live in a pre-war building on the West Side of Manhattan, just down the street from Lincoln Center and two blocks from Carnegie Hall. I received my B.A. and M.A. degrees in art from West Virginia University, and I am an artist. My paintings are in the collection of West Virginia University, the Staten Island Museum, the Chase Manhattan Bank, what used to be the World Trade Center, and so on.

I have been married to Jerry Bowles since 1965. Jerry is a freelance writer who mainly writes and produces special sections on technology for Forbes. We have no children, but do have a wonderful nephew who is an airline pilot. Since we are also very involved with music, Jerry has a classical contemporary music web site at http://www.sequenza21.com He also has a site on technology and business at http://www.enterpriseweb2.com |

For our 30th anniversary, we went to Las Vegas and renewed our vows at the Graceland Wedding Chapel with an Elvis impersonator who was an ordained minister. We took our nephew along to be best man. |
Here is an example of one of my paintings. All of my work is based on geologic and natural formations, an interest I developed growing up in West Virginia. |

This is our doll baby, Howard. He runs our lives. We used to travel a lot, especially when Jerry was editor of corporate magazines and business picked up the tab—all over Latin America, Southeast Asia, Australia, Japan, Hawaii, and Russia. But these days we’re pretty much at home with the kitty cat. |
