After living in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Illinois, Karen and her husband Dick have now relocated for retirement in Winchester, Virginia.

"I have spent my time volunteering in the community, church work (handbells and women of the church), music lessons, some college courses, civil war history, and other interests in the home such as decorating, gardening, and helping my son make his clothes for Civil War Reenacting."

"Now that Dick has his office at home, we do alot of my activites together. I have led a wonderful life, but miss being close to some of my classmates.

I have been a stay at home mom and have two grown children (son and daughter) and a wonderful 4 year old granddaughter, Charlotte. "

Granddaughter # 2 at right above, Margaret Lee Smittle was born at April 7, 2000.   She came in at 8 lbs. 10 oz.. and 20 1/2 inches long!
