After the success of its TV-movie The Huntress, the USA Network developed it into a regular series. Reprising her role from the original is the great actress Annette O'Toole as Dottie Thorson, wife of murdered bounty-hunting legend Ralph "Papa" Thorson who carries on with his business out of financial necessity. Jordana Spiro ably took over the role of her feisty, cynical daughter Brandi, much more born to the business than her domesticated mother. James Remar also returned as Tiny Bellows, providing a love interest for Dottie. Luis Antonio Ramos rounds out the cast of regulars as bail bondsman Ricky Guzman. New episodes of The Huntress were widely scattered over a long first season and shown in several different time slots, but as of September 2001 it appears that production on the series has come to an end. There's been no word on when or if USA plans on showing repeats of The Huntress but if we hear that they or anyone else is going to do so, we'll let you know.
