I painted the mini with a coat of black primer and then painted it with a heavy coat of black again. I then lightly dry brushed it with white to give; while that gives it a worn, used look, I just like the way a light coat of white looks over black. I did the cockpit area in metallic green and the gun ports with red. It looks a whole lot better in person than with a pic. The base was filled in with sand grains. When all was set, I applied a coat of glaze to protect and seal it.
