Inner Sphere Assault BattleMech
The Akuma is a 90-ton fire support `mech based on the Atlas series. It has the ability to expose a hole in its target with it's ER PPC and then tear it to shreads with its array of critical-seeking munitions - LBX cluser, MRM and SRM ammo. What it lacks in speed, it makes up for in durability with maxium armor and a fusion engine.

I painted the (disassembled) mini with one coat of white primer and then a heavy coat of a "steel plate" base. I then dry brushed it where I desired with a dark coat of copper. The shoulder, outside part of the right arm and outside part of the right leg were covered with gold paint. I went back over some sections with a light layer of steel plate to give it a slightly worn look. I outlined the "face" with black trim and gave it "blood red" eyes. I then assembled it, applied some water slide decals and attached it to the base. The base is made of wood as I was running out of resin bases; plus I like the bigger bases for the larger `mechs. The base was filled in with sand grains and rocks. When all was set, I applied a coat of glaze to protect and seal it.
