I spray painted the (disassembled) mini with one coat of gray primer and then painted it heavily with orange on the body or brown on the limps. The orange was paneled on so that the detail lines would stick out. I then assembled it, applied some water slide decals and attached it to the base. The base was filled in with sand grains. When all was set, I applied a coat of glaze to protect and seal it.
