I painted the (disassembled) mini with one coat of white primer and then a heavy coat of a "medium yellow" base. I then dry brushed it completely with two coats of "steel plate". Seeing how it looked, I figured that it would take many coats to get my desired look. I was going for a steel color with yellow detail lines. When I looked at it, it gave me the impression that it had been "weathered". I did a little more dry brushing with the steel plate to make it slightly darker. In a few spots I went even darker to make it look like those sections of armor had been replaced. I then assembled it, applied some water slide decals and attached it to the base. The base was filled in with sand grains and rocks. When all was set, I applied a coat of glaze to protect and seal it.
