Moonlight Moonbright
A beautiful night, he agrees; The air moves around them as Earth breathes A sigh, the waves on the beach make A comforting sound, and the moon Illuminates what lays to be found. His eyes follow her (except When she glances over to speak) -- Her silky hair lifted by moving air, The moon lighting her eyes, her voice A melody the waves harmonize. He feels when her eyes move closer And wishes, just once, she'd catch him Watching; but her eyes are on the moon, The waves, the night, and will never Follow him like he wishes they might. --Barbara E.
