Many times exhibitor’s wish to know what a judge likes in showmanship, market size and type and fitting for the showring. This list is an accumulation of names of judges we have been told about, heard about or watched judge a show or fair. If you have someone to add to the list e-mail us .

Warren Austin, Buckeye, Arizona

Takes his time with the kids, asks questions, time permitting. Likes a really big framed lamb with a flat top and good length in the loin. Business Owner.

Clemente Ayon, Santa Maria California

Very talented judge.

Terry Burkes, Missouri

A personable judge who enjoys talking to the exhibitors. Wants a complete lamb, not a lot of cover. Color does not matter.

Clint Cummings, California

Likes very powerful lambs. Big, long and correct. you need to have your lamb ready as you walk into the ring. Up fronted and correct. Seems to like a little more finish. A quick showmanship judge. Pay attention to his suggestions and use them.

Brad Dale, Iowa

Very good judge. Likes a flat out complete lamb. Should have style and power. Very tough showmanship judge

Mike Gibbs

Thick, long hindsaddle with square hips. Knows his sheep. Does not like drawn up lambs.

Glenn Grim

Likes very pretty lambs. Does not have to be real thick, but needs a good top. likes them lean and firm. Eye appeal, real pretty is 1st.

Bob Hare, Ohio

Looks for a very complete lamb, with good correct structure. Loves explosive tops. Great with kids. FFA advisor.

Donna Mays

Good judge with kids. Very consistent in quality of market lambs.

Steve Mills, California

Great showmanship judge. Likes a lamb firm, trim and long with a great top.

Kim Mills, California

Very good judge with kids. Loves a big framed lamb with loads of top and firm but fresh handle.
