| December 4th- Eric Crouch officially recognized as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy to be given out by the Downtown Athletic Club on December 8, 2001. Other finalists include Rex Grossman, Florida, Joey Harrington, Oregon, and Ken Dorsey, Miami. December 4th- In an unofficial sample balloting of nearly 10% of the heisman voters, Crouch leads Grossman by a slim margin. | Nebraska stands a good chance to get into the Rose Bowl with a Tennesee loss to LSU in the SEC Championship game on December 8th! December 5th- Jerry Palm, of www.collegebcs.com reports that the LSU-Tenn. game isn't all that's important to determining Miami's opponent in the Rose Bowl. Nebraska stands to gain .28 points in the Strength of schedule part of the BCS calculation with a TCU win over Southern Mississippi on December 7th.....stay tuned! |
