Tim's Comments: Solenopsis has a very distinctive two segmented apical antennal
club. This is most visible in the front view of the alate female reproductive. This species is also known as the thief ant or sugar ant. It is often found inside another ant species' nest, where it steals eggs and larvae for food. This species is also frequently found inside houses.
