Day 2: April 6, 2006
Colonial Williamsburg
Today we went to Williamsburg and spent the whole day walking there. The places we went to were the Governor's Palace, the Capitol, the cooper (barrel maker), gunsmith, milliner, silversmith, tailor, blacksmith and the apothecary. Everyone learned a lot about colonial life.  Several children made a barrel while others leanred to dance or greet each other. Students were able to try on period clothing. For lunch, we ate at the King Arm's Tavern. Although everyone enjoyed the pottage pie and salad, the home-made ice cream was the best!
Of course, the highlight was the Golden Corral. Everyone was well fed and happy.  Tonight, the students played Capture the Flag with Mr. Chapman next to the courthouse.  It was a fun filled day. Everyone (except Mrs. Scott and I) are tucked in bed dreaming about tomorrow's adventures.

Thanks to everyone who sent us wishes. I passed all messages to the children.
