What a fine can of worms Messrs Bush, Sharon and Blair have
unsuspectingly revealed!
Now we know as clearly as if Blair himself had shouted it from
the rooftops, the British government used intelligence reports from several
sources to ‘hype’ the case for war with Iraq, involved the Attorney General
in a phoney legal ‘justification’, and used their own intelligence services,
in particular GCHQ, to advance a course of action that Bush and Blair had
secretly agreed on months before the die was cast. And we know from history
going back to Suez and beyond to the very creation of the Jewish state that
the British and Israeli military and political intelligence services work
hand in glove in all such matters.
Of course, the three musketeers would not for a moment admit
that their belligerent triangle exists outside the fevered imaginations of
the anti-war faction, any more than they admit to a conspiracy to use British
intelligence to assist the Bush regime to spy on the Secretary-General of the
UN or on the representatives of ‘wavering’ members of the Security Council.
They would certainly not admit to collaboration between Israel’s Mossad
service and the CIA or MI6. In fact, since the outset of the patently illicit
war on Iraq, there has been an almost embarrassed
silence in the media of Britain and America on the subject of Israel’s secret service activity. It is an arm
of the Anglo-Israeli-American triangle that dares not speak its name, though
it was once on the tip of every intelligence commentator’s tongue. Israel has powerful enemies all over the
world. They are people who demand justice for Palestinians. They are know to
most western governments and propagandists as ‘terrorists’, though they are
often willing to sacrifice their own lives in the cause they espouse.
Long before the assault on Iraq there were scarcely concealed rumours
of Israeli involvement in intelligence scams of one kind and another. There
were members of the Lockerby victims’ family group who were convinced that Libya’s sudden admission of liability – an
unprecedented admission by any state in similar circumstances – was somewhat
fishy and there were rumours of Israel’s complicity. When Israeli planes
bombed the Iraq nuclear plant at Osiraq
in June 1981, they did so with the full knowledge and connivance of the
American military authorities. Every so-called peace initiative in
Palestine/Israel since 1947 has been in reality a joint exercise between Israel and the United States. Every attempt by the United Nations to
achieve a peaceful settlement has been sabotaged by Israel without a dissenting voice from America. While America has exerted an economic stranglehold on
Iran, Iraq, North Korea, and Libya, and has threatened India and Pakistan, it has actively assisted Israel to become, according to American
sources, the third most powerful nuclear nation on earth. At the moment that
the fatal blow was struck in New York on 9/11, listeners to broadcast
coverage of the event will remember the offer of help from Israel and the
declaration by Israel that ‘planes had already’ left for the United States.
The family tie was cemented when Bush decided to take the baton from the
sticky hand of his co-relay runner Sharon and invade Iraq, the nation that
Israel feared most in its long-term bid to hold on to the stolen lands of the
West Bank and the Gaza strip.
