BEST FRIENDS
Best friends are not the kind they say,
That have to see each other every day.
They know without the slightest doubt,
What each other thinks about.
They know what makes the other sad,
And 'specially know what makes them glad.
A pat on the back or a joke to share,
Each other knows the way to show she cares.
A phone call or letter to make time stand still,
And somehow make due with the empty days to fill.
Somehow the miles seem pulled together with love.
And just knowing we share the same sky up above,
And knowing that times is all that keeps us apart,
Makes the pain ease, I have in my heart.
Apart or together, your still my best friend.
We'll both keep going, till we're together again.
We'll think of each other, like best friends do.
Because I'm sure you love me, like I love you.
