TO TAMMY As you travel down that highway, I'll try no to cry. I'll hold my head up high and just wave good-bye. I won't think about the times ahead we could have had. I'll just remember all the good ones and try not to be sad. But these tears welling up in my eyes give me away. The knot in my throut blocks all the words I had to say. So I'll swallow, hard, and clear my foggy head, 'Cause you can't leave me here saying, "I wish I'd said. . ." Your're my friend, my best friend, and they can't take that away from us. 'Cause the postman will deliver and the telephone will ring, like we discussed. Oour friendship will endure this move I know in my heeeeart. And I wish I could convice my eyes before the tears starat. So turn your head so you won't see my eyes overflowing. Keep your eyes on the road and your mind on where you're going. Remember I wish you all the luck that there could be. Hope you have lots of happiness in this new opportunity. Let me ask one favor before you go to your new place. Let me hear you say, "We'll be back soon." with a smile on your face.
