WALK AWAY
As we walked our separate ways, I felt your eyes upon my back. But I could not turn around to see your blue eyes. I could not turn around for fear I would run to you. So I kept on walking with the tears streaming down my cheeks, burning your memory in my soul forever. My heart slowly breaking with each step I took. Scarring forever my ability to love - - - to live with the intensity as before. Never again will the stars seem so bright nor the grass so green. Never will the air smell as fresh or the flowers so beautiful as when I had your love. I will only be half of who I was when you were mine. I can't be whole. For when you walked your way, part of me went with you.
