CEO Pelgrims discussed possible links from the Gethi and Partans to
more advanced races due to similarities in warp technology.
CSO Nim Lister offers his services on an away mission to take soil
samples upon arrival in the Loten system.
FO Hanson gave orders to scan the area for background noise or any
other attempt by other races to communicate with the Gethi and
Partans. He then gave the group some information on what little they
knew of Gethi and Partan physiology and culture.
Lt. Bill Patton, ship's CMO, prepared a flight check with Lt.
Mao'Syllis on the holodeck.
After the staff meeting, Canon, Hanson, and the crew quibbled over
the best parrises squares team of all time.
Lt. Mao'Syllis discussed her thoughts on the Partans and Gethi
situation. FO Hanson added some additional information about the
planet's history with ambassadors. Hanson also asked for Gabe's
theories on radiation leakage.
Lt(jg) Gabriel Pelgrims analyzed the possibilities of the cause of
the poisoning of the soil and considered delta radiation from
primitive warp drives.
Dr. Patton completed his flight training update and passed
with `flying' colors. Mao'Syllis and Bill appeared to be getting
along well.
Lt. Syllis and the crew debated the possibility that the current
Federation ambassadors to the Gethi and Partans can't be trusted.
Syllis also discounted any suggestions of cause of the poison until
she can get her nose on the job.
FO Dennis Hanson suggested retrieving additional diplomatic
information before proceeding. His means were questionable.
Hanson begun his flight training update.
Hanson contacted his mother at the Federation Diplomatic Corps about
the ambassadors to the Loten system. He then sent this newly acquired
information to the senior crew.
Pel evaluated the information and sent his conclusions to the FO and
CO. When Dennis analyzed the information, he was surprised to find
such a discrepancy in technological advancement between the Loten
inhabitants' warp technology and other techs.
Nim Lister, while monitoring sensors, noticed a short blip that
required further investigation. Ensign Lister later learns it to be a
spike of delta radiation, possibly from a warp-core breach. Captain
Cannon pours over the information and organizes his crew.
Hanson contacts Ensign Tanari to get her input and help with the
sensor information. Gabriel Pelgrims continued to work on projects,
took in the new reports, and analyzed them. Later, Hanson considered
the reports of the ambassadors.
Ens. Meredith Tanari prepared for her flight test on her free time.
Mao'Syllis took Dennis on a "rollercoaster ride in the holodeck
flight simulation.
The Nightingale reached the coordinates of the apparent warp-core
breach in the Loten system. They beam aboard a possible message buoy.
Ensign Tanari and Pel were left to play with their new toy. Tanari
questioned third party intervention in the technological developments
of the people of the system. She discovers the quintary star system
in the sector, and then worked on sensors to understand better what
happened. Dennis gave his input on the message buoy.
