Sculptor Galaxy (NGC253)
NGC253 is the brightest member of the Sculptor galaxy group. This group is one of the closest to our Local Group of galaxies. NGC253 is also one of the brightest galaxies beyond the Local Group. It is a spiral galaxy viewed nearly from the edge, with many details visible in dust scattered around the disc. It is located in the constellation of Sculptor at a distance of 10 million ly.
