Theophilius Crater

Theophilius is the large 100 km wide crater to the left in the image. The crater floor lies in complete shadow, and the temperature in the dark is around -170 degrees celsius. Theophilius is clearly a more recent impact than the older similar sized Cyrillus crater above. Also the rim of Theophilius is better preserved and has not been battered with as many small impacts.
