It's captivating! It's compelling! It's inspiring! It's... well, actually, none of those things. It's just my small playground for random statistics, full of all my nonsense. Please enjoy the view though and don't fall over the edge. The last update was on 11th April 2003 when I added a link to my new guest map. It's dorky, but please sign it!
You may well ask who is the person responsible for all this? Well, her real life human name is Triona. Despite living in the nation's capital all her life, she has never been named an unindicted co-conspirator for anything. She aspires to reside in a lighthouse, but is instead an urban refugee living in suburbia and her web pages incorporate her interests, erratic observations on life in the suburbs, and not very far beyond.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() êwhat's in a name?ê The name of Triona has given you sensitivity and appreciation for the finer and deeper things in life. You can enjoy reading, study, and contemplation about many different subjects. When your interests or curiosity are aroused, you work intensely at new undertakings, but your interests often wane when you encounter drudgery and monotony, with the result that you leave many things unfinished. Your name has taken you into many bitter experiences. The greatest lack in your life is stability and peace of mind. A peaceful and quiet environment, especially out in nature, is one of your greatest desires, but you are constantly taken into chaotic conditions. Because you have high ideals and are a principled person, you have been disillusioned and disappointed in people on many occasions and have experienced much aloneness. You are fond of outdoor sports, where you can find an outlet for your nervous energy. Impulsiveness could bring frequent accidents and unfortunate happenings into your life. You do not like to be restricted or to have your freedom curtailed in any way. You find it difficult to control your thoughts and could swing in moods from one extreme to the other. Your speech can become very critical and sarcastic when you are frustrated or crossed. This name creates a weakness in the heart, lungs, and bronchial organs, and could cause heart trouble, pneumonia, asthma, or tuberculosis. It also creates tension in the nervous system, particularly the solar plexus and stomach, causing nervous indigestion and relative conditions.
more nonsense than you can shake a stick at. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() êyear of the dogê I'm a Dog - Dogs are honest, straightforward and friendly. They are extremely protective of themselves and their loved ones. With a passion for fair play and justice, they never fail to rescue you time after time. They may rant and rave, but they never rest until they right the wrong. They are true humanitarians and suffer with the world. In spite of their concern for others, social graces and fancy parties do not impress them. Having sharp eyes, they will see through people's motives. They are quite private about their personal lives and someone prying into their affairs make them secretive and withdrawn. Once you gain their confidence, they open up freely. Once Dogs classify you, they rarely change their minds. There are few in-betweens. Dogs perceive things either in black or white. You are either friend or enemy. Luckily, they are good judges of character and have superb insight into human nature. Dogs are tolerant of their friends. Before they approve of you, the friendship must develop slowly with a variety of meetings and conversations. If they look you over and decide they can trust you, you remain in their hearts forever. If you need them, Dogs will be there. When the time is right, Dogs work long and hard, but they know how to relax, and enjoy their home and loved ones. The Dogs have playful moods and a great sense of humor. They have quick emotions and if you offend them, they will snarl and insult you with expertise. They forgive with the same speed. Dogs are intelligent and well-balanced. With their stable minds, they make good counselors or psychologists. They endure during any crisis situation. They are trustworthy people and know how to keep a secret. Being efficient and very diplomatic, they can hide their prejudices well. Most Dogs have a comfortable home and do well. Dogs always defend what is theirs and have a high sense of value. Home and family come first, and Dogs will work to see that they have the best! êpast lifeê I was female in my last earthly incarnation. I was born somewhere around the territory of modern New Guinea approximately in 1725. My profession was a dancer, singer or actor. I had the mind of a scientist, always seeking new explanations. The environment often misunderstood me, but respected my knowledge. Lesson, that my last past life brought to present: my lesson - to study, to practice and to use wisdom, enclosed in psychological sciences, and in ancient manuscripts. With strong faith and hard work I will reach my real destiny in present life. êsumming up all the nonsenseê So every city tells the lie Of beggars, tramps and butterflies Of all these things, then what am I? A princess in a threadbare gown? A gaudy, painted circus clown? A child who lost her key and can't get home? I was born in Paddington Hospital, west London, to quite normal parents. I have no brothers or sisters. We three shared the middle flat of a big three-storey house with a cat, a dog and a budgie, and a strange old man living upstairs, who scared me, and a drunken old man and his long suffering wife living downstairs. We had no garden, but we did have a balcony. My dad built a greenhouse on the balcony and we grew tomatoes. At the age of 5, I attended a Catholic first school for a year or so, until we moved to north London when I was about six, because my dad thought it would be a nicer environment for me to grow up. I remember lying on the painted blue floor with the spinning sounds of your parents old record player; 1976 air rockets that fled through the eyes of little boys and girls everywhere dreaming out their bedroom windows. I'd listen to vinyl and you'd be my monochrome starboy. I wasn't a very conscientious student at school but I did what I had to do for a quiet life and passed all the 'o' levels that I put my mind to, before going on to do a couple of 'a' levels at college. My ghastly first job was working for a bank, which was the worst environment to work in ever because it was like working for the Gestapo or something. I was very young and didn't know any better, I suppose. I went on to work in the social services field, which is strange because I'm not much of a people person, and now I work for an environmental health department, which suits me fine because we're providing a non-profit service for people; nothing more and nothing less. I'm down to earth, hard working when required, organised, quiet, self-sufficient, dependable, and rather anti-social. I am also apathetic, very cynical, morbid and dismal. I'm around 5'5" tall and of average build, with pale skin and dark brown eyes. I have medium brown chin length hair that is naturally slightly wavy and always dyed black. I wear black rimmed glasses, mostly for reading and driving, and five little silver earrings in each ear. I wear quite a lot of silver jewellery in general. My hair is rarely down loose as I prefer it in braids or in bunches so it's not hanging around my face. I almost always have my silver Sony Discman with me or my notebook. Occasionally, my head is in the clouds but my feet are firmly ashore. I like to daydream but I live in the real world. I can't build beautiful sentences with words like sparkle or mist. I'm not a heroine from a romantic novel. I'm modern, on the ball and observant most of the time. I tend to repress my feelings (I'd be Elinor from Sense & Sensibility). I am very secretive, but sincere. I believe in the magic of moments, like when you realise for the first time someone is on the exact same wavelength as you are. I'm not a party person. I'm not exactly one who stands out in the crowd, and I like it that way. Being around crowds of people scares me. I'm currently sharing a house where I have a purple bedroom and three computers ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Balls of Space Fluff

see, when woods we pass, where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. no time to see, in broad daylight, streams full of stars, like skies at night. no time to turn at Beauty's glance, and watch her feet, how they can dance. no time to wait till her mouth can enrich that smile her eyes began. a poor life this if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare. - Leisure, William Henry Davies
