êsensesê olfactory: smells that remind me of my parents' house: unpeeled bananas, unpeeled pears, toast, Dove Soap, roast potatoes, lilac. I like cheese but I don't like the smell of it. garlic in any form whatsoever, makes me feel sick. the smell of metal, especially rusted, makes me automatically think the object is dirty. car exhaust, no matter what time of year, reminds me of winter. I love mint and cinnamon. the smell just before it rains. the smell of petrol stations, but not petrol on my hands. I like the smell of chlorine, as in swimming pools. gustatory natural peanut butter, the kind you have to stir up because it separates. hair in food, or seeing someone chewing on a lock of his/her own hair makes me feel a bit sick. I have so many good associations with potato soup. I don't like anything to do with tomatoes. I'm not a fan of plain milk chocolate, or chocolate in general. I hate butter and margerine. I could eat breakfast food for every meal. tactile: I love the feel of the pockets of cold in cotton sheets and seek them out. I don't like being barefoot on dirty linoleum floors. I love the softness of the pads on a kitten's paw. I'm not a fan of wiry dog hair. I love the texture of my winter coat; it's very soft. I hate walking on woodchips with barefeet; it reminds me of butchers. the sticky-dirty feel of skin covered in sunscreen is horrible. twisting my hair on one side of my head and resting my head on it makes me sleepy and comfortable. clothes fresh out of the dryer/off the line. auditory: I love songs with good piano parts. the sound of applause, especially recorded applause, gives me a bad feeling. I cringe at the sound of knuckles, necks, and backs cracking. the sound of kicking leaves in autumn brings me great joy. I hate the sound of my rings when they knock together. I like tambourines. visual I gravitate towards all things blue. I seem to be both short sighted and long sighted. I'm fascinated by abandoned/old buildings and the like. I have an affinity for chairs. I prefer windows and natural light. If I have to have artificial light, I avoid florescents. lighting, in photographs or reality, I love it all. I like to look at the way in which the hems of trousers fall on shoes. That's the main reason you might see me walking with my head down. I'm watching my feet. I don't like being outside if the sun is too bright, unless I have sunglasses. I associate people with their cars. The look of someone's car says something about him/her, but I'm not sure what.
