Hard Chrome Plating

At Hycrome'Thane we have our own designing of anodes ,jig fixtures to achieve the best quality and give consistent results .We have 12 platings vats at present ,of different  sizes at our premises.

Our 6mtr tank is operational

We cater to a wide variety of Industries and have been doing so for the last thirty years . To name a few

  • Hydraulics &  Pneumatic-- Piston Rods,TelescopicCylinders(I.D),

  • Printing Industry-Engraving and Printing Rollers,

  • Video Audio tapes-Mirror Finished Rollers ,

  • Plastic Industry- Extrusion Screws, Dies and Moulds,etc.......

Our customers demand quality & we are proud to be associated with them and their success.

Hard Chrome Plating is a process whereby a wear resistant layer of chromium is deposited on  a substrate surface. With its low coefficient of friction, high hardness, moderate corrosion resistance, the process finds wide applications for prolonging the life of the components,or salvaging worn out parts which would otherwise need to be scrapped.

Hard Chrome is often deposited on sliding parts for the protection of moving components of engines,pumps,compressors..etc. A typical Hard Chrome plant consists of a Chromic Acid based solution in plating vat.The D.C.current is required for the deposition of chromium which is supplied by an AC  to DC rectifier. The component to be plated is connected to the negative ,whereas lead anodes are used to complete the circuit.A constant monitoring  & pretreatment  are  required to ensure that the deposited chromium layer is of a satisfactory quality. Post plating operations such as buffing, grinding or superfinsihing are often undertaken, depending upon the field of application of the plated components.
