Hell's Nail's Steep Series Fingerboard (BLUE) & Regular Series (CLEAR)

My first experience with a Hell's Nail's fingerboard was quite a while ago. That first experience was with the 'regular' version. While not much different, the Steep Series does offer a much steeper kick (as expected).

Hell's Nail's fingerboards are unique in that they have been designed to work best with 'truck pads'. These pads are typically made from a barrel eraser that are cut in half and taped to the bottom of the board and despite their 'low tech' appearance work very well. In addition, no griptape is required. The material the boards are made of sticks to your fingertips naturally.

Shown above is the blue Steep series board I purchased for review (also purchased was the green version, but have yet to set it up). Having used the standard kick version of this board for quite some time I found it easy to get used to the steeper kick. I do have to say that it took some time to get used to the originals almost instant pop

Aside from the amazing pop, a new user of Hell's Nail's must get used to the lighter weight and shorter than average length. Unlike most current fingerboards, Hell's Nail's allow the user to keep their fingers in a relaxed position (ie. not stretched) resulting in better control of the board.

Made of an extremely durable material with no hardware, truck pads that are easy and cheap to make in addition to intstant pop and relaxed finger position, Hell's Nail's fingerboards are a must try experience. And at less than $5(US) shipped, why wouldn't you give them a try?
