Sunnyside blank & Avention wheels.

I recently recieved my "Design-A-Graphic" prize package from the Sunnyside Board Company. The package contained a blank Sunnyside board (with grip) and 4 green 'Avention' wheels. Below you will find my review of the products recieved.

Small.

On first inspection Avention wheels are significantly smaller than any other wheel I have used...but I'm always up for testing new products. With this in mind I grabbed my trusty New Deal Tech Dech from the desk and removed it's wheels. I then grabbed the Avention wheels from the parcel and put them on.

Thick.

Avention wheels are also thicker through the body (where the axle passes through the wheel) than any other I have used to date. This is not a serious problem but I found that when the axle nuts are tightened (so as not to come loose) the wheels I recieved would not roll.

One way to overcome the need to tighten the nuts down so far is to use a method like that described on Mr Scorpio's Hot Tips page or use my Loose Nuts? tip.

Performance of the wheels was satisfactory. I found some combo's much easier to perform because of the wheels low profile.

If you want to try a different set of wheels... give Avention wheels a try.
