WWF RAW is WAR Report: 12/10/01

  • LIVE from Anaheim, California, we follow up the crowning of Chris Jericho as the first ever Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, with what should be a just-as historic RAW!

  • Ric Flair/Chris Jericho Interview
-dun...dun...dun...Dun Dun! Ric Flair steps out onto the stage, holding the WWF Title over his shoulder, and the World Championship over his other arm. He makes his way into the ring, and sets the belts down. Last night, he says, he promised the world that he would present the Undisputed WWF Championship belt tonight to the winner. So without further adiou, introducing Mr. Chris Jericho. The Y2J Countdown hits 0.00, and out comes The Ayatollah and the Living Legend. Jericho marches down the ramp and poses for all his fans before getting in the ring. On such a historic evening, Y2J doesn't know where to begin. That's why he wrote a list of people to thank. No one thought he had a chance to be the Undisputed Champion, except for one person, who has always had faith in him: himself. So he would like to thank himself for being so strong, athletic, and talented to be able to prove everyone wrong. Also, thanks to his opponenents The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Two of the biggest icons in the history of this business, and the two biggest stars in the WWF today. For him to beat them both back-to-back, in the same night, single-handedly is an incredible honor. They gave it their best, but they were beaten by the better man last night. And thanks to the little people here and watching at home. If it weren't for us, he wouldn't be here today. If it weren't for Jericho realizing that the people's opinions didn't matter, his career wouldn't be skyrocketting like it is today. Thanks to one of the owners of this company, who has true class, true dignity, Vince McMahon. Vince gave Jericho the opportunity, and made sure there was no outside interference. He evened the odds, and for that, Jericho thanks him. Finally, thanks to Ric Flair. Flair said he would present the winner with the belts, and here he is. Jericho knows why Flair is here: all through his illustrious career, winning title after title, he always wanted to be near a larger-than-life, superduper star, and a living legend. And tonight, Flair's dreams are coming true. So now, Flair can have the honor of presenting Jericho with his two Championship belts, making him the first, the only, and the true Undisputed Champion. Flair places the World Championship over one of Jericho's shoulders, and the WWF Title over the other. Flair asks if Jericho feels like the best there is. That's great, because tonight, he'll defend those titles in a Steel Cage! And the real punchline: it'll be against Stone Cold Steve Austin! As Jericho tries to regain his footing after being taken so aback, Flair WHOO!s it up and marches up the ramp. Jericho frowns as he looks up at the cage. Fade Out.

  • Undertaker vs. Spike Dudley
-"Rollin" hits and the new WWF Hardcore Champion rides down to the ring. Spike marches down to the ring and tosses some goodies into the ring before getting in with a man more than twice his size. Spike gets on the motorcycle and acts like he's leaving, causing Taker to run at him. Spike flies into the ring and leaps at Taker, who catches him and rams him into the ringpost. In the ring, Taker locks Spike into the Tree of Woe and stomps on his prone head. Spike hits a low blow and nails Taker's knee with a kendo stick. Spike nails Taker with a few trashcan lids, but Taker boots one back into his face. Taker repeatedly smashes the lid into Spike's head. Taker starts rubbing his arm across Spike's face before calling for the Last Ride. He lifts Spike up and smals him through the trashcan 1-2-3! After the match, Taker picks up the unconcious Spike and chokeslams him over the top onto the floor outside.

  • In the back, Vince and Booker are walking through the halls with a bunch of security and some guard dogs. Flair runs up yelling at Booker T, but Vince holds him back. Vince says that Booker is Vince's guest tonight. They're going to hang in the back tonight and watch Flair run the show. Flair tells Vince and Booker about the Jericho/Austin cage match, much to Vince's chagrin. Vince says that although Flair changed the plans for Austin, he can't change the plans for Rock. Since Rock and Trish were so successful last week, they are the new #1 Contenders, and will face the Dudleys tonight. Flair tells Vince that he can keep the appology he owes him from hitting him last night, because pretty soon, Flair will ahve to appologize to Vince. Fade Out.

-In the arena, Kurt Angle comes out to the new, electric version of "Medal". Angle waves to Vince's suite. Despite the travesty that took place last night, he says, of not becoming the Undisputed Champion, he has requested this match for one reason only: Vince McMahon. What Vince went through last week is a horror that should never be talked about or seen ever again. Let's see what he means. Angle rolls the footage and narrates the footage of Vince's head shoved up Rikishi's ass. That is gross. Think about the stench! Angle runs back down and attacks the dancing Rikishi. Rikishi pushes him out of the corner and clotheslines him down. Stinkface to Angle! The lights go out, and again Rikishi dances. Again, Angle decides that the dance is too much. Angle gets a chair and smacks Rikishi down. He repeatedly smashes the chair into Rikishi's ribs and then smacks him across the back one last time. Fade Out

Last night, they were able to beat the Big Show and Kane, and then tonight, they have to face an undefeated tag team? They are the greatest tag team in history, but can they over come the best tag team in the WWF today in Rock and...BuhBuh bursts out laughing...Trish Stratus! But that's fine, because Vince got the last laugh at Vengeance. And there's a new club: the Vince McMahon Kick-Your-Ass Club. Flair joined last night, Trish just joined, and Rock just joined for the second time. You see, you can join any number of times, equal to the times you cross the boss.

  • In the back, Lita is still trying to tell Matt that she didn't see his foot, nor did she want to be in that position in the first place. And now she and Jeff have to fight him? She loves him. She loves him? That's probably just to make him feel guilty about what he's going to do tonight, huh? If she loved him, why would she count the three? If she didn't want to be the ref, why didn't she just say so? Matt asked for this handicap match so that Lita and Jeff can try to beat him in front of his eyes, instead of behind his back like last night. And just like the team of the Hardy Boys, Matt and Lita are broken up! Matt sends her out of his room and shuts the door on her. She begins to cry until Jeff comes over to console her. After a whole bunch of food and alcohol, he decided to have them both. Tonight, Stone Cold won't be a little trooper, as Jericho called him.
