Cody Monk of the Dallas Morning News recently conducted an interview with WWF superstar Lita. Here are some highlights: - She likes being "in the middle" in the program involving Matt and Jeff Hardy because of the fact that they have a lot of chemistry together. - Matt and Jeff are her best friends and it's a lot of fun working together and telling a good story to the fans. - It has taken a lot of time and will continue to take a lot of time for the female superstars of the WWF to knock off the "just another pretty face" label and instead portray the image of wrestlers. - She feels that she's always been a wrestler, despite not always being given time to wrestle. However, she has had to make adjustments working with some of the new superstars that came from WCW. - Feels that it's been quite a shock for Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson coming from WCW to the WWF. They probably did not want to work in the ring but the old WWF talent has helped them along because it opens possibilities for them. - Lita feels that the current roster of females is a "good group of girls". - The best advice she gave Keibler and Wilson is to "keep your mouth shut and your eyes wide open". You have to keep watching and listening because that is how you learn. - She talks with Paul Heyman and Rob Van Dam, a lot and knows them from her days in ECW. Back in ECW, Heyman did not let her wrestle, probably because was not ready. - She notices the "Lita" chants during matches involving Matt and Jeff, but the guys hold no ill feelings towards her. She feels they all can feed off the reaction and once they get to the back, they congratulate each other because they're working as a team. |
