Rikishi Involved In Small Fight

I have heard from a number of readers that they witnessed a very unfortunate incident at the HWA show on Wednesday night at the Montgomery Fairground Shows during the main event match where Elix Skipper, Haku and Russ McCullough took on. Rikishi and the Island Boys.  During the match, McCullough blew a spot with Rikishi, and it appeared that Rikishi got ticked off.  When McCullough fell to the mat after another spot, Rikishi sat on him and wouldn't move.  Haku and Skipper ran in and did spots on Rikishi to get him to break the hold, but the big man no-sold them for a while before finally getting off of him.

Later in the match, McCullough was holding Rikishi when Haku went for a superkick on him.  I am not sure if Rikishi was supposed to duck, so that Haku would hit McCullough, but he didn't and Rikishi rolled out to the floor after the kick.  While the others brawled in the ring, McCullough went outside to work with Rikishi.  Rikishi picked up a chair and pasted McCullough with it repeatedly.  It was clear by the look on his face that he didn't know the shots were coming.  Rikishi would not stop hitting him, so McCullough went to the back and the ref, appearing confused, just called for the bell, which I have been told wasn't the planned finish.  McCullough, who was recently told by the WWF that his developmental contract would not be renewed, left the building almost immediately after reportedly exchanging heated words with Rikishi.

The general feeling was that while it's fine to receipt a worker who blows a spot, this went beyond that and was too much.  Also, I have heard from many people that unlike other WWF wrestlers who have gone to the HWA and gone out of their way to accommodate the promotion and acclimate themselves to it, Rikishi has not been that way and has obviously not wanted to be there.  When you add in that he worked Smackdown the night before in Bakersfield, CA and had to fly into Cincinnati for the show, I would guess that didn't make for the best of days for the big man.  I believe that Rikishi is still scheduled to work the HWA show tonight.
