WWF ROSTER SPLIT
--
Details on the WWF roster split in January are finally taking shape. It is now
known that each division will consist of around 40 wrestlers, with the same
writing team scripting both shows. Both brands will be named WWF, and it will be
storyline-wise a mere division of the rosters. House Shows however will remain
the same due to lesser payoffs for B shows which would then feature bigger
talent. The House Shows will continue being a mixture of what will be two
seperate divisions of the WWF roster. It could help House Show buys as it would
give fans a chance to see talent from both divisions on the same shows. However,
there won't be any inter-divisional matches on the shows.
-- General reaction from the loss in interest of signing Kevin Nash and Scott
Hall has been, for the most part, all positive. Nearly everyone was against the
signing of the duo so it has been almost a sigh of relief that the two won't be
joining the company. However, Vince McMahon still has slight interest in the two
and could acquire their services later down the line if WWF business takes a
downfall, or the two change their minds about their refusal to work only 11-12
dates per month. The WWF wants them to work no less than 15 per month as that is
the amount even superstars like The Rock, Steve Austin, and Triple H work.
-- Undertaker is seemingly excited about his recent heel turn. He feels that
after an 8-9 year run as top babyface, the heel turn has given him a fresh start
and a challenge to make his new character succeed. So far he has been enjoying
his recent work as heel, and looks foward to doing so for a long time to come.
