The Begining of it AllIt's always good when your giving info about a game to give a backround. In, I think all the Legend of Zelda Games it has the legend of the creation of Hyrule. The legend of when the three Gods decended from a distant nebula and decended down to the depths of a chaotic world called Hyrule. The god of power gave land and fire to the world. The god of wisdom created science and wizadry. The god of courage, through justice and vigor created life to live on their earth. When they left the world they had created they left a simble of thier power, a triangle called the triforce and sealed it away in a place called the "Golden Land". As Hylian legends say whoever obtained the Triforce would earn the title of the "Forger of Strength", the "Keeper of Knowledge", and the "Juror of Courage". Only could a man gain these titles by obtainig the Triforce. It beckoned all types of people. With thier magic infused blood the Hylian people were endowed with physic powers and skills in wizadry. It was also said that they had long pointed ears so that they could hear special messages from the gods. They were admired by many people in Hyrule. Thier decendents spread through out the world spreading thier powers, but in It's passing it was in some occassions disstorted or lost forever. In Hyrule there are many legendary building, which now lie in ruin are only pale shadows of there former splendor. The Triforce as you can see had many desirable effects, but what was said in the book maddora( a collection of Hylian legends and lore)made it even more desirable. This is what is said in it
One day, quite on accident the entrance to the "Golden Gate" was opened by a band of thieves. The leader of the thieves recognized the triforce, and fighting his way through his own men, he placed his blood stained hands on the legendary Triforce. Then he heard a voice whisper " If though has a strong desire or wish, express it....." and in response the man roared with laughter that echoed across time and space to the darkest corners of Hyrule. This man was known as Mandrag Ganon, but known to his aliases as Ganon Dragmire, which means Ganon of Enchanted Thieves. I do not know what Ganon's wish was, but all sorts of evil men were drawn to the Golden Land to become a member of Ganon's army. The king of Hyrule issued seven men that were knights and wisemen to wage war against Ganon. The people of Hyrule forged a blade that could repel the powers of the triforce, since Ganon's power was based on the Triforce. As they searched for a man that could weild it, Ganons army swarmed from the Golden Land to Hyrule and attacked the castle. The knights waged full war against Ganon, and although many brave souls were lost, however there lives were not lost in vein, for they bought precious time to magicalley seal Ganon in the Golden Land. This war was known as the Imprisoning wars for years to come. Many centuries have past and the memories of the imprisoning war have faded. Hyrule slowly healed its wounds. The horrers of the imprisoning war faded which is why it was no suprise when Hyrule was unready when the new dissasters struck Hyrule. Pestellence and drought struck Hyrule. It was uncontrolable by magic and it ravaged the land. After councel with his sages(the seven wisemen), the king decided to investigate the land that Ganon had been sealed away in(the Golden Land), but the wisemens seal was apparently intact. He offered an award to any man who could find the source of these troubles. In answer to these summons a man named Agahnim quelled the disaster with a previously unseen form of magic. As reward the king gave him position of cheif advisor, hier to the seven masses, and proclaimed him thier hero. Peace was in Hyrule once again....or had it. Rumors began to spread that Agahnim now ruled Hyrule instead of the king. Rumors that Agahnim used his powers to rule and that strange magical experiments in his tower at night.... The people of Hyrule were gripped by fear. Prolouge-a young boy named link was awakened by a strange message inside his head," My name is Zelda I'm in the castle dungeon,", so Link got out of bed wondering if he had been dreaming it. He saw his uncle girded for war, "I'll be back soon don't leave the house," his uncle said and then it all began.... | |
