CHASE THROUGH TIME
Hunter to helm Cohen's `Old' for Blue Tulip

by Charles Lyons

Vid helmet Paul Hunter will make his directorial debut with "Old City,"
a time-travel thriller penned by Jon Cohen that Jan de Bent and Lucas
Foster's Fox-based Blue Tulip Prods. will produce.

"This project is something really close to my heart that we have been
trying to get going at Fox for a long time," de Bent told Daily
Variety. "Paul Hunter has a great vision for the project. He not only
has technical skills but also the ability to tell stories. His videos
are exemplary because there is a story there."

Senior veep of Twentieth Century Fox Michael Andreen will oversee "Old
City," while Blue Tulip's head of development and production, Jessika
Borsiczky, is shepherding the project for the shingle.

"Old City" centers on a cop who is hunting a serial killer across time
and space -- in both contemporary times and during the 18th century.

Hunter, known in the music vid world for vids of Jennifer Lopez, Lenny
Kravitz, Eminem, Christina Aguilara and many others, worked with de
Bent on the vid for his megahit, "Twister." Hunter's "American Women"
vid for Kravitz was nominated for multiple MTV music awards, as was the
Jennifer Lopez vid.

De Bent is considering several possibilities for his next project,
including "The 28th Ammendment" at Warner Bros. The helmers' "The
Haunting" was released last year.

Hunter is repped by Vanessa Alexander at Handprint Entertainment and
the William Morris Agency.

Cohen, repped by UTA, is working on "Adaptive Ultimate" at TCF and last
year penned "Wonder Woman" for Joel Silver's company.

Blue Tulip is repped by The Gersh Agency.
