Chobits

Synopsis:

A farmer-boy, by the name of Hideki, goes to a prepatory school, in Japan, in hopes of getting into college. Upon arrival he's, not only lost, but he sees people walking around with things called Persocons; who look, and act-if programmed correctly-like real humans! Hideki, also, finds the persocons to look quite cute.

Hideki wants one quite badly, seeing as they are very handy. They can hook-up onto the internet-which Hideki wants to do to look at porn sites-and they can perform tasks around the house, or outside of the house, as well. But, he soon finds out that they are pricey, and without a job, there's no chance for him to be having one.

After settling in at some apartments, he goes out to get some food, and things. On his way back, he passes a persocon just lying in a pile of trash. He takes it back to his place, and tries to start her up. After trying everywhere, he finally gets her to start up!

He finds her to be very cute, as well. But, the only thing she can say is 'Chi'. So, that's what Hideki names her. But, soon, Hideki-and others-realize that Chi is not a normal persocon....
