When my daughter was learning to crawl, my son would say, “sister is crying a lot”and“sister needs time out”and I would say, “It’s okay, that is what we need to tell her, It’s okay, you can do it.”I know that my daughter was frustrated with her struggle, yet I know with encouragement she will continue to pursue her crawl. It is the same encouragement I gave her brother when he was learning. He crawled like Mowgli, from Disney’s The Jungle Book, with his legs and arms extended, no bend at the knees. He walked soon after that.We always encourage our children to do what they feel, what inspires them, what they like,of course we are always there guiding our children and encouraging.I give thanks to God for giving me this wisdom, and to know how to pass it on to you.Give Thanks in everything you know and learn, love and aspire, for these are gifts of God.
I would love to hear from you with comments or stories of your own. Please feel free to contact me at onelv@grantspass.com
