About 2 years ago, Kain made a terrible mistake by sleeping with Angel. Fearing Elation's reaction, he decided to keep it dark, but Elation had seen them... Pissed off, but specially hurt, she left him. But, loving him more than anything, she forgave him and went back to him. Some time after, they both got caught by Angel and Derek, as they were going to get Elation's belongings at Derek's. Angel took Kain away and brought him to her house, where Angelika bit him, screwing up his brain. About 7 months later, Elation found him and healed him from his "insanity" caused by Angelika's bite. Things being fine again, he proposed to her... for the 3rd time.
