After the demon was defeated by Kael, Derek left the castle and headed to the mystical mountain with Blind Seer. A few weeks later, as he was in the village near the castle, trying to get a job, he met Celest. They quickly became friends and after Derek got his new job, he could rent a tiny apartment that he shared with her. A few months later, Celest gave birth to Jason, Kain's son.
