Chapter 32

Spencer held a knife to Sue's throat and she knew he was serious. She felt the evil vibes coming from his persona. "I'll have my way with you Sweetheart," he snarled into her ear, "dead or alive. Alive would be better, so keep that beautiful mouth of yours shut." Fear snaked through Sue and she physically shuddered in his arms. She knew how cruel he could be and a feeling of defeat came over her. He was going to win his reprehensible game even with all the security steps they had taken. Every precaution had been taken yet still he stood here, holding an ice cold knife to her throat telling her he was going to have her in the most demonic tone.

Absently she wondered how he had gotten past Will and David? She saw Will checking the trolley and she trusted Will with her life. She glanced over to the trolley and saw her answer. A hidden compartment was swung open, a compartment big enough for someone Spencers size. The tablecloth covering the trolley, similar to the one that looked so beautiful yesterday morning was pushed aside to have allowed Spencer's release from the box. It proved to Sue that he was cold and calculating.

She could smell Spencer's odour, shuddering to herself at the acrid stench. It had to be a while since he had last washed. She tried breathing through her mouth, but it did little to mask the smell. It was permeating the room already.

He guided her silently to the bed and pushed her down roughly. The bed was still warm from where she had laid just a few moments before. Her mind went to Brian in the bathroom. What were his plans for Brian flashed through her mind and she was scared stiff at answers that came to mind. In this state he was capable of anything and she feared for Brian's life. The taste of bile rose in her throat making her gag.

"Ahh, I see the plaster cast is gone. Was I little too rough for you last time?" he grinned down at her. Sue wanted to spit at him but thought the better of riling him further. Both their lives could be in danger and there was no point in enraging him. "Don't worry, I don't want to be rough with you. I just want what's mine." He smiled sugary sweet at her. His eyes lowered to her chest and lit up. He reached out to touch her stopping short of touching. Sue's reaction was what he had wanted and he could almost smell the fear coming from every pore. "And what is mine is you my dear."

A chill went down Sue's spine at the thought of any sort of intimacy with Spencer. Although he was almost a carbon copy of Brian, she knew it would not be the same but the complete opposite. She easily pushed aside the comparison in looks because Spencer was the evil to Brian's good.

Spencer took both of Sue's hands in his and deftly twisted a tie around them before she even had time to register what he was doing. As he lifted her hands above her head she panicked, remembering the last time she was tied to a bed. Panic rose in her like volcano lava as visions of previously being tied to the bed surfaced in her mind. She lashed out and a huge hand clamped over her mouth from behind before she could scream. The other man in the room was aiding Spencer. She hadn't really noticed him. Her breathing was instantly coming in gasps and she felt like she was going to hyperventilate her head was beginning to spin. She fought and kicked, shaking her head from side to side, even biting the man's hand leaving a bitter disgusting taste in her mouth. She did not want to be restrained again fighting as best as she could, but in the end it was a fruitless struggle. Spencer was always going to win especially with help.

"I told you not to scream," he hissed out. "I will use that knife and you will be dead before any help gets in to you." He stopped talking and grinned, his eyes flashing. "Or I could always use this on your boyfriend. Now there's a promising thought. With him out of the way I wouldn't have to fight for you."

"Noooo," Sue cried softly. "I won't scream. Don't hurt him, please. Please don't hurt him," she begged him her eyes pleading with him.

He slid his finger along the blade of the knife, flinching slightly as the blade sliced into his finger accidentally. He sucked his finger and grinned again, blood sticking to the side of his mouth. "That's better, a little bit of co operation will go a long way my sweet." He looked towards the bathroom. "You," he indicated towards the huge man standing over the bed ready to strike should Sue be any trouble. Sue felt sure he would delight in hitting her, he looked that kind of man. He stood to attention at Spencer's voice. "Get over there behind the bathroom door ready to grab Littrell when he comes out. He can't be much longer now." The other man obeyed, walking over to the main door ready to pounce.

Spencer glared down at Sue, his cold eyes travelling over her body with a hungry gleam. He took a deep breath and let it go with a satisfied laugh that sounded like the devil to Sue. "Finally I will get what I have wanted for so long. Once you have had me you won't want him anymore," he said indicating the bathroom with a flick of his thumb over his shoulder. Sue refused to speak to him so he continued on. "I have dreamt of this you know. Making slow sweet passionate love to you. Of course not right away." He leered at her, his hand lowering to his groin to rub himself. "Right now I have been waiting for you, wanting you, for so long I am so hot for you. I have to taste you."

He leaned down to press his wet lips to hers when the sound of the bathroom door opening had him instantly alert. He grumbled, "He always interrupts me. He'll get his," and then turned to the bathroom.

"Who were you talking to?" Brian asked walking out of the bathroom pulling his shirt over his head. He couldn't even see the trap he was walking into. Sue wanted to scream at him, but the knife at her throat was a reminder to stay quiet. She looked at Spencer then Brian wishing she could do something. The t-shirt popped over his head and he saw Spencer sitting on the side of the bed, Sue tied up like she was the last time and he tried to get to Sue. His heart lurched, he wanted to scream for help but something stopped him. Then he saw the glint of the knife Spencer held close to Sue's throat and any fight he had in him dissolved. "Oh God."

Spencer looked at Brian, then back to Sue before throwing Brian an arrogant smile. "Nice to see you Mr Littrell," he said in a menacing tone. "Get him," he added to the guy standing behind Brian who he hadn't even seen yet. He threw a huge arm around Brian's body and with the other one he snapped his arm behind his back. Brian grunted in pain, not game to make it louder for fear he would hurt Sue. "Tie him up." Spencer barked the order, disregarding him and turning his attention back to Sue.

The huge man pushed Brian over to the chair and pulled both arms behind the chair. With a piece of rope he quickly tied Brian's hands to the chair and walked back to Spencer. "You better be going out before they get suspicious," he said to the big guy. He packed the trolley up, leaving it in the middle of the room and walked to the door.

"Thank you Sir," he said to no one, bowing slightly as he walked out the door. Brian couldn't see the doorway to get Will's attention, his one and only way of getting out of this situation. He had tightened his fists when the man had tied him, so he hoped he would be able to free his hands, but he wasn't sure that would happen.

He looked at Spencer standing over Sue grinning evilly. How on earth had this happened? How had finding the most special woman in the world to him, falling in love with her to the extent that he would do anything for her, gotten them into this situation. Why was he doing this? Why did he want his Sue? There were so many women out there, maybe even one who would return his love. Sue had made it obvious to him she didn't want him, the distaste in her eyes when she looked at Spencer quite obvious.

"Now, lets get started." Spencer announced, his eyes flashing at Brian wickedly. "I better set the ground rules and the number one and most important rule is no noise. If either one of you make any noise, the other one will get it. And sweetheart," he said looking back at Sue, "you know it's sharp don't you?" He held up the knife, moving it so it would glint in the light menacingly. Brian's heart leapt to his throat. Had he cut her? He was going to tear him from limb to limb.

"Okay, so no noise. Now," he reached down and took a lock of Sue's hair in his fingers and twirled it around, tugging more than gently on the end forcing Sue's head to jerk roughly. Brian pulled at his chair, growling at Spencer. "Ah ah ah! No noise remember, or Sue will get this." He held up the knife for Brian to see again. It was an expensive looking hunting knife, one Brian knew would be sharp. "I already told her I would have her, and I don't care if it is dead or alive," he said emphasising the word dead in a slow deep voice.

Brian thought his heart stopped beating when he heard those words uttered. They were at this madman's mercy and he saw no way out. His mind screamed at him to do something, but there was nothing he could physically do to save Sue.

"Better. Now you will stay still. Quiet. And I mean not a noise." Spencer continued, looking pointedly at Brian, his eyes piercing into his. "I am going to make love to your girlfriend," Spencer paused for effect, lifting the knife up to Sue's throat to warn Brian not to make a sound. Brian gritted his teeth tightly. It was all he could do not to scream at him in the rage that he was feeling. His whole body shook with anger, mixed with a fear he had never felt before. All his morality was being pushed to the background and he literally wanted to kill this man with his bare hands. Hate was a strong emotion, but he knew he felt it for this man.

"Now, where was I?" Spencer stopped and thought for a moment. He sighed with an attitude of superiority, knowing he had them both at his mercy. He looked back at Brian, his eyes going from Brian on the chair to Sue on the bed. "Oh yeah. I am going to make love to your girlfriend." He sighed again, dementedly. "It won't be pretty the first time. I have lusted after her for so long, it might get pretty rough."

Brian saw Sue clamp her eyes closed in horror. When she opened them he could see the terror in them. He was overwhelmed with the helplessness of the situation and just wanted to hold her in his arms and tell her it would be okay. But he didn't know if it would be right now. He didn't know what he could do.

"But next time, and each time after that," Spencer continued with his tormenting, "it will be slow and easy, she is going to enjoy herself and finally realise she has been with the wrong man." Brian closed his eyes trying to block out the thought of someone else touching Sue. How must she be feeling? The continuing look of fear on her face told him the answer.

Her eyes suddenly took on a rebellious flash and a defiant voice came from her, "Never!" she hissed. "I belong to Brian and no one else. He is my forever." She suddenly remembered her birthday gift and was glad she had taken them off before they got in the spa the evening before.

"Never say never sweetheart," Spencer said kissing the top of her head. "I am going to make love to you and he is going to watch and endure. Just like I had to when I watched you," he announced and both Sue and Brian took in a breath. "It was torture for me then and now he is going to endure the same torture. Only thing is he will never get you back again."

It was a cruel and evil warning, but Brian ignored the taunt, trying to stay calm. "Why are you doing this?" Brian asked him. He was trying to stall him. Surely the longer he took, the more chance there would be for someone to come along and interrupt him.

"Why? Because you have what's mine. I want this girl and what I want I will have." He announced simply. His simplistic answer sending a chill down Brian's spine.

"But she doesn't belong to you. She doesn't belong to anyone. She decides who she wants to be with." Brian argued.

"Yeah. Ultimately she will, but she has to know what she is missing out on. Once she knows what I am really like she will make her decision and then she will be out of your life." He seemed so sure of himself it was frightening.

Brian wasn't going to argue with him any longer "You want to kill her? How is that making a decision?" He was watching Sue's reaction as they talked. She was at the end of her sanity he was sure.

Spencer pulled Sue roughly into his arms, holding her close while Sue tried to struggle. "I don't want to kill her," he said almost childlike stroking her hair gently, and Brian realised he was dealing with a disturbed person. Mentally disturbed. "I want to love her."

"So move the knife Spencer. Don't hurt her." Brian pleaded, trying to make him see reason. "You don't want to hurt her." Brian wanted her safe and if he could get him to move the knife away he would feel just a little bit better. The knife was a continual threat while he held it. If his temper snapped while he held it he was quite likely to use it.

"No, I don't want to hurt her. She's so beautiful," he said running his hand over Sue's hair again. It was wet with sweat now, but he didn't notice, mumbling to himself about her beauty. She realised what Brian was doing and tried her best to do the same.

Spencer's lips came down to Sue's forehead and he kissed the side softly. Sue closed her eyes, then opened them again, seeing Brian looking at her over Spencer's shoulder. He mouthed the words 'I love you Baby' to her and for a fleeting moment she felt good. Even with all this happening, Brian loved her. She used that as her strength to get through this. She wasn't going to let Spencer have his way with her if she could help it. There was still a little of her fighting spirit left.

Brian continued to play with the ropes tied to his wrists. He felt part of it giving way and he continued to struggle. He stopped the instant Spencer sat up and looked his way. If he knew he was possibly close to getting loose, he might tie him tighter again. Then any chance he has of saving Sue would be gone.

"Put the knife down Spencer." Brian urged and watched as Spencer put the knife on the bedside table, within easy reach. He felt like he was getting somewhere with him, though he never expected him to release either one of them without at least getting what he came for. He didn't doubt he would resort to using the knife and it scared the Hell out of him. He knew his heart was beating an erratic beat. His mouth was drier that had ever felt before. This was a whole different league.

Spencer stood up suddenly and walked towards Brian. He began to panic realising he was coming to check on the rope tying his hands. He flicked his thumb through one of the curls, effectively tightening the bounds again and a cursory glance by Spencer was all that he made. Brian let out a silent sigh, realising this was their only chance at escape. He didn't trust Spencer, even though he had lowered the knife.

Spencer walked to the window, pushing the curtains back a little to look at the city skyline. "Nice view," he commented more to himself than anyone else. The phone rang suddenly, jolting him out of his musing. "Shit," he said and raced over to pick the knife up again. He pushed the phone towards Sue. "Answer it, and no funny stuff."

"Hello," Sue said into the phone he held to her ear with one hand while holding the knife menacingly close to her body, close to her chest. Whoever was on the other end surely had to realise how nervous she was. Her voice trembled as she spoke.

"Sue, sleepy head. What are you and Brian up to today?" came Nick's animated voice.

"Not much Nick." Despite her predicament she smiled at Nick's enthusiasm. "Brian and I wanted to stay in today."

"Aww. Come on Sue. Join us in some basketball."

"Maybe later Nick. We haven't had a chance to be alone much lately. And now I have no plaster I can make use of the spa." She told him grasping for something.

"Hmm, the spa! Okaaaayyyy," Nick said to her, understanding her meaning "See ya later then. Dinner maybe. Or will you have that in too?" He sounded disappointed.

"We'll see," she told him and said goodbye. She knew she hadn't alerted Nick to anything odd going on, but Spencer's evil presence had her scared that he would do something, in this case do something to hurt Brian.

"Good girl," Spencer said to her kissing her soundly on the lips. She wanted to spit, get the smell and taste of him off her, but she had realised from Brian's actions, maybe antagonising him would not be good. He had set the knife down again at least. His grey eyes were mere inches away from hers and Sue saw none of the sparkle she saw when she looked into Brian's eyes. Spencers were devoid of emotion and love. His were sinister.

He walked over to Brian. He stood in front of him not saying a word. Suddenly something flashed in his eye and he unexpectedly became agitated. He lashed out at Brian, hitting him on the side of the head making Brian groan with sudden pain. He knew that would bruise by morning. The sudden change in Spencer scared Brian. It was like another personality taking over again.

Spencer growled and turned to Sue. "Now. I need you now!" he declared in a crazed tone. Sue was beginning to panic, Brian could see it, and he furiously worked on the rope. His heart began beating faster again, needing to help Sue get out of this. Seeing her so scared again resurfaced the overwhelming anger he had felt a short while ago.

"Now sweetheart. It's time I got what I came for." He flashed a look in Brian's direction. "Remember no noise or she's dead, followed by you." Brian nodded sombrely. What could he do but agree? For now.

Spencer reached down and cupped Sue's breast through her top. She was suddenly thankful she had decided to dress before answering the door. Gosh how long ago was that? When his fingers touched she cringed, and whimpered.

"That's right, it feels so good doesn't it?" he said to her, cupping her other breast with the other hand. Sue closed her eyes to banish the images, but the feelings remained. She would remember this for as long as she lived. She felt dirty and used and he hadn't even begun.

Not for long though. Sue could see he was becoming worked up and knew it was only a matter of time before he would be too far gone. He stood up and tugged on her pants, and to her immense embarrassment, she had no underwear on. "Oh sweetheart, you were ready for me!" Sue was shaking her head from side to side in a frantic attempt to get him to stop, but it was no good.

"Now, I'm coming home," he said, pulling his pants down. Brian was frantically working on the ropes and he felt the knots give way. Only a second or two more and he'd be free. He looked at Spencer about to drop his boxer shorts and used all his strength to free himself, pulling his hands away in a frantic attempt to get freedom.

Right at that moment the ropes gave way and Brian lunged himself in one bound towards Spencer screaming out with all the anger he had felt. Spencer saw what was happening and in a second picked up the knife on the bedside table.

A struggle broke out and Sue saw the knife flashing between them. She watched on in horror, screaming for them to stop. She was tied to the bed, she couldn't do anything to help Brian. Over and over she screamed, the scene in front of her moving in slow motion. The door to the room flung open and both Will and David charged in, but not before both men fell to the floor from the bed with a thud. Sue looked down to where they lay, a pool of blood seeping out on the carpet. A shrill scream echoed through the room out the door and down the corridor chilling everyone who heard it.
