"Tell me again why we're going," Brian said to Sue buttoning his shirt up after a steamy shower shared by the two of them. "I'd rather stay here with you," he said pulling Sue into his arms again and kissing her gently on the cheek. His lips left a trail leading towards Sue's mouth and she knew if she let him reach there and start kissing her they would be late, neither one of them being able to stop. Sue wriggled out of his arms with a super human effort. It was almost impossible to resist Brian's kisses. "Because we are meeting Jac and Kevin at Tabu for a night out." "I'd rather a night in with you," Brian pouted trying to capture Sue in his arms again. "Brian Littrell, are you insatiable, we just shared an incredible shower together." "Not where you are concerned. I can't get enough of you." He winked at her. "But why tonight Baby?" It was close to their anniversary and he wanted to spend time alone with her. Their life had been a little hectic lately. "Because this is a shared anniversary celebration. We know it isn't quite our anniversaries yet, but Jac and I agreed we would be somewhat occupied when the time came. So we thought we would go back to Tabu, where you and I met that night tonight to celebrate." He smiled at the memory of the night. He had been so clumsy because he was so nervous once he met Sue and realised she was the girl of his dreams. Nothing he had done had gone right that night, yet she still fell in love with him. For that he was forever grateful. What they shared now was what he always dreamt he would have. "Yeah," he conceded, "That's a good idea. We already have our anniversary planned don't we?" "Yeah," Sue sighed. They had planned a return to the island they had their honeymoon on a year earlier. Remembering all they had done on the island always made her smile and made her body warm at the thought. She really was looking forward to returning for a few days. She snapped out of her musings. "Come on, get ready Brian, we have to be there soon." "Okay, okay." he moaned but Sue knew he wanted to go out too. Anything that reminded him of the two of them getting together he always loved. They relived so many of their early days. Certain things reminded them of the bad moments they had had too, but their love was too strong to dwell on them and now neither one of them though much about the episode that finally wiped Spencer from their lives. "Come here," he said to her capturing her by the wrist and pulling her into his arms. Her hands lay on his chest and she splayed them out feeling the contours of his body. "What gorgeous?" He smiled. "Just this beautiful," he said and lowered his lips for a gentle kiss. "I love you more every day. 'Hmmm," Sue sighed, returning his kiss. "Love you too," she told him. They left the house barely on time and Kevin and Jac's car was already in the parking lot when they arrived. They entered the club finding them easily in the room that wasn't very crowded yet. "Hi you two," Brian and Sue said together interrupting the two of them discussing something closely. They jumped apart startled. "Hi Brian, Sue," Kevin said smiling down at Jac. It was obvious they had interrupted a particularly intimate conversation by the blush on Jac's face. Sue smiled to herself, knowing how that felt. "Hi Jac," Sue said to her taking a seat opposite her sharing a knowing smile with her. "Hi to both of you." Jac said as Brian sat. A drinks waiter came and they put their orders in. "So, how does it feel? Nearly one year married?" Jac asked them. Brian laced his fingers through Sue's and smiled down at her. "It's wonderful Jac. We have a special week planned that week." "Yes, I know. Sue told me," Jac said smiling at him. Sue and Jac had become close friends. Both being married to world famous pop stars made their situation unique and the two of them relied on each other for support when no one else would understand their situation. While on tour they were inseparable, when not with their husbands, and when back home they were often together too, shopping or meeting for lunch. The fact that their husbands were family was a bonus. Their drinks came and as Sue's coke was being passed to her, she dropped it and the liquid went all over the table, a small amount landing on Brian's lap. Sue could do nothing but giggle at the sight, a feeling of déjà vu washing over her. Brian jumped missing the majority of the cold liquid and ice. "Oh Brian," Sue said between giggles, "I am so sorry." "It's okay Sue, payback time," Brian chuckled. "No I didn't mean it. I'm sorry," she said chewing her bottom lip. Just as Brian was about to assure Sue it was okay, Jac reached over for her coke and did exactly the same thing only this time the liquid spilt on both Brian and Kevin, both of them jumping up. "Yikes! What is it with you two, you're both clumsy tonight," Brian growled, but they knew he wasn't angry. Sue knew this was the moment she was waiting for. "Well, pregnant women do get clumsy you know," Sue said to him smiling as Jac helped Kevin dry off the spilt coke. "Yeah, but what's that got to do with……" Brian stopped suddenly, Sue's words sinking in. "What did you say?" She looked at Brian then she looked at Kevin. Jac and Sue laughed at the looks of surprise on their faces. Jac spoke up. "She said pregnant women often get clumsy." She giggled as she said it, the guys looking totally stunned. Brian turned to Sue. "Are you…. Sue, what are you telling me?" Brian asked, his attention solely on Sue now. "We're going to have a baby Brian." Sue said laughing. His speechlessness was again endearing. "We are? Oh My God we are?" He whooped aloud. "Sue that is the best news I have ever heard. When?" "Early days yet Brian, I am only 8 weeks along. So, another 7 months to go." "Wow, Seven months and I'll be a daddy. You'll be a Mommy." The look of wonder on Brian's face could only make Sue smile and she looked over and Kevin and Jac and he had the same look on his face, his hand low on Jac's belly as he spoke to her. Brian stood up and took Sue's hand in his leading her to the dance floor. One arm around her, the other one still held her hand in his and they began to move to the gentle music being played. "I'm really going to be a daddy?" Brian asked and Sue nodded at him, a wide smile on her face. Brian's reaction had been everything she had imagined it would be and happiness bubbled through her. "We're going to be a family?" "Yes Brian. We're going to be a family." His hand wandered down to her still flat belly. "Our baby is in there? This is such incredible news." "Our baby is in there," Sue said, her hand joining his on her belly. "Of course it isn't very big yet." "How long have you known?" He asked her. "I only found out this week, when I went to the doctor because I was feeling ill all the time. I had no idea myself Brian. I felt pretty stupid." He laughed at her. "Don't feel like that. Oh my God this is the best news ever. I'm so happy Sue." He lowered his lips to hers for a passionate kiss, oblivious to the fact that they were on a half crowded dance floor. Desire was in his eyes as he looked at her. "You know Howie better not ever sell this club, and if he does I am going to have to buy it." "Oh?" Sue said confused at his sudden change of conversation. "Why's that?" "Because this is such a special place. It's the place I first met you, the place I asked you to marry me, and now the place you told me we are having a baby." His hand was caressing the side of her face like she loved so much, turning her insides into jelly again. Looking lovingly into his eyes at his sentimental though she asked him, "And what would you call it if you bought it." Without thought he answered her. "Forever. Because this is the place I found my forever," he told her, lowering his lips to hers yet again. ***The End*** |
