Finally She Is Home...
Up at midnight
Not able to fall asleep
Another Christmas is coming
Another Christmas, oh so sweet!

But this one is special
In every way, shape and form.
It wasn't a cold Christmas
It was a comforting warm.

Candles lit up the night
The parents laying gifts,
But only ones stocking is up
Something doesn't fit.

Only half of the gifts like before
The warm just turned to cold.
Christmas had changed;
It was no longer worth gold.

What I used to hold with me
Did not exist anymore,
Because I rememver
Our family no longer has four.

Maybe it wasn't a special Christmas,
Maybe it wasn't oh so sweet;
There is nothing to look forward to-
Wait! Whose feet?

Someone walks in the door
I look up with curious eyes
Someone I recognize
But someone I do not despise.

My eyes light up
A smile appears on my face;
My sister has come home-
She has come home for Christmas
And made this place a special place.
