Punky at 9 1/2 years of age.

Punky was whelped in May of 1996.

She is genetically free of PRA, thyroid normal, DNA V530170,

And her OFA certificate rates her hips as GOOD.

Feb 3-4, 2001 Punky and I entered the obedience ring for the first time. Punky passed the Novice B tests both days and on March 3, 2001 she again entered the ring to finish her CD title with a score of 190. Successful every time she entered the obedience ring, what a thrill! She is ENTIRELY home trained (no formal obedience classes - just working in our back yard), which makes her success in the ring even sweeter.

We don't attend many shows each year so are pleased to report the highlights of her competition career.

10/97 Punky gets her first point

3/99 Punky earns her CGC, plays at a Match and gets a Best of Breed and Sporting Group I.

4/99 Punky is awarded her first Best Of Opposite Sex.

3/3/2001 Punky finishes her CD title.

2001 - so far Punky has only been in the ring a few times due to lack of major entries in our area. She has three more Reserves, all owner "fumbled". She has never liked stacking and will retire from the conformation torture the end of this year with or without that CH title.

2002 - Punky is happy watching her kids compete and being the reigning Queen of Subtle Setters.

Punky, The Queen Mother, did a wonderful job in the whelping box. We are proud of each of her pups and their owners. 

 Punky has 7 pups that have shown in conformation and 6 have been awarded Winners or better (four have gone Best of Breed at least once). Three pups have finished the CH title. Two pups have Junior Hunter titles. Two pups have finished their CD obedience titles. Four pups have earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Punky is proud to have produced one VC titled offspring so far with others working on finishing the requirements.
