Belinda Pierce

Name: Belinda Pierce
Bel
Fire Warrior
House: Aether (Salem)
Age: 16
Quidditch: Aether Team: Seeker, Captain
Birthdate: September 1, 11:58pm
Description: Belinda has black hair that falls to her shoulders in perfect waves. Her eyes are blue. Her face is pretty, especially if she smiles, but she doesn't do that very often. Her clothing is still very preppy but no longer custom made by a seamstress. She stands five feet and one quarter of an inch tall.
Personality: Belinda was raised to be a proper pureblood lady, but the Pierce blood of her great-grandfather runs too strongly in her veins. She has a violent temper that is easily sparked, which will more often than not result in her challenging the offender to a duel (or a rather less formal fistfight).

Until her disownment, she despised mudbloods and muggles as a matter of principle. Since then, however, this principle has recently come under fire from three directions. The first is Quidditch, where blood had not mattered even before her disownment. There are good players, and there are pitiful players, and she will assault anyone who gets in her way. The second was direct contact with muggles, having spent the previous summer living among them. The last, and perhaps the source of the greatest opposition to the long-held belief the purebloods were superior, is simply that she is rebelling against everything that strikes her as 'too proper'.

Recently, Belinda has decided to 'come out' and announce that she is bisexual. In truth, she hasn't a clue what she is. But the bisexual philosophy appeals to her intellectually.

Her loves are Quidditch, flying in thunderstorms, duels (particularly ones where she can stomp the opponent's feet or bite them - physical assault is so much more satisfying than magical), breaking people's noses, and drawing.

Her hates are WAIL, snotty purebloods, slights or insolence to her or her family, failure, being treated like a girl, discussion of marriage, and tedium.

Interpersonal Relations: Kat - her best, possibly her only, friend outside of her family. Or, at least, she is when Bel admits that she is capable of having a friend. On bad days, Kat is a cruel, manipulative genius who has, in the past, wormed her way past Bel's defenses.

The Boyd twins - she isn't really sure what to make of the twins. Their on her Quidditch team which goes a long way toward making her like them. However, two incidents have caused her to hold a grudge against them. The first was that they sided with Dierdre, her foul mudblood idiot roommate, over her on their first day at Salem. The second, and far less forgivable, offense is that they won't fight back if she punches them. In addition, Jared hit a raw nerve by asking her to the Festival, which compounded his error in the not-hitting-her issue - nobody's supposed to treat her like a girl.

Lola - she is rumoured to be romantically involved with Lola, but this is far from the case. In reality, they're just awkward friends and definite allies in the fight against WAIL.

Melinda - she still loves Melinda. The frustration and anger Melinda's rejection causes her is mostly shunted to other outlets, but she has indulged in shouting matches and even physical confrontation. However, it is Randolf 7 who will face the worst artifact of her sisterly devotion - Melinda's engagement has sparked a terrible jealous rage in her.

Dr. Bird - For reasons she can't explain, she adopted Dr. Bird as her new adult guardian. (Though Amelia adopted her and is ten years her elder, Amy's still a cousin and an equal more than a guardian.) She embraced the name the psychologist gave her (Fire Warrior) with almost too much enthusiasm. Her ability in wandless magic is entirely because of Dr. Bird.

Derry and Amelia - her only family that still likes her. They were close before their disownment. Now, they are easily as close as siblings.

Other: - Belinda has a wand that is six inches long, made of Ash wood, and with a Jobberknoll feather as a core.

- Until their disownment, she played Seeker on Amelia's Pierce team.

- She french braids her hair during Quidditch matches and duels.

-Her nickname is Bel. That's B-E-L. Not B-E-L-L-E. Belle is so feminine.
