IX-44 Tanker (C)
Four EFP100 turbojets power the IX-44. Its primary refueling method involved linking its trailing boom with the target aircraft, and can pump almost all its internal fuel stores (up to 180,000 lbs.) through this boom, which is controlled by a technician stationed at the rear of the plane. Cargo decks above the refueling system hold passengers or cargo. If Hope Dies

S11 ArkDragon Stealth Fighter/Bomber (C)
Slower but less detectable than S13 Partisan, this fighter/bomber can be used in dual roles, though when those roles are mixed, the plane’s performance suffers. It is best suited for one job at a time. Because of its usefulness as a long-range bomber, the plane is rarely used as a fighter, a role the faster S13 assumes. The ArkDragon’s heavy armor plating deflects radar waves easily, and because of this, it is very stealthy, allowing it to venture deep into enemy territory to deliver its payload. It carries a crew of three, a pilot, copilot, and bombardier, though when it is used for air-to-air, the bombardier is left behind.

S13 Partisan Advanced Tactical Fighter V/STOL (C)
Fast and maneuverable, the S13 is Esthar’s primary attack aircraft. It is a single-seater, single engine plane with two forward air intakes. Capable of speeds in excess of mach 1.5, it has stealth capability, though it is not totally invisible to radar. It features air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities, but excels at air-to-air dogfighting. All its weapons are stored inside the fuselage, and deploy in a hydraulic tray under the fighter. It also has Vertical/Standard Take-Off and Landing ability. This is a low-slung jet with hexagonal wings. It has no vertical rear stabilizers, utilizing instead two rear stabilizers at 40° angles. This snub-nosed fighter resembles a Harrier jet front crossed with an F-22 Raptor wings and rear. If Hope Dies
S13/N: The Navy version S13 has larger wing and tail control surfaces to better manage low-speed approaches. The airframe is reinforced to bear the shock associated with catapult launches and arrested landings. The aircraft has a carrier-suitable tailhook, and the strengthened design improves survivability.
Primary Function: Air Superiority Fighter
Contractors: Pierson-Bartley Aeronautical Systems
Propulsion: One Pierson-Bartley AM-217D Engine
Liftfan: The S13 uses a centrally-located lift-fan system to achieve Vertical/Standard Take-Off and Landing capability. In addition to the fan, the fighter also employs roll ducts and a five-bearing swivel main engine nozzle. The Pierson-Bartley AM-217D engine powers all three.
