Good news!
Barnie Calef of Cedar Rapids, Iowa has agreed to attend the Sportsmen's Rally Banquet and demonstrate the calling routine he used last fall in Stuttgart, AR to win the World Duck Calling Contest. This is his second World Crown having also won in 1989. We're honored that he thinks enough of this cause to attend.

Sportsmen!
The Iowa Senate voted March 6, 2000 to amend the sportmen harrassment bill to expand it by a longer jail sentence and larger fine for a person's second offense. This is great news for the sportsmen. The bill is SF 2300 and can be found on this website on the Iowa General Assembly link. The vote was 32 for and 17 against. This means that 17 of our elected state senators do not care to protect our right to fish, hunt and trap from the Antis. The vote is identified in the Iowa General Assembly link, under Senate Journal (S.J.) 528. The Quad City vote reflects that Tinsman (R) Bettendorf and Rife (R) Durant voted no. The rest of our Senators voted yes. Lets get organized guys and send a message to those who give us zero repect!
