I don't understand why there is opposition to dove hunting in Iowa. The dove is nothing more than a small pigeon with a life span of less than two years. If you would look at the hunting seasons in other states you would find there is no decrease in population. It would be nice if other legislators would do a little research on the subject. They should also look at the economic impact dove hunting would also bring to Iowa.
